Gordon Stanley "Mickey" Cochrane nicknamed "Black Mike", was an American professional baseball player, manager and coach.[1] He played in Major League Baseball as a catcher for the Philadelphia Athletics and Detroit Tigers. Cochrane was considered one of the best catchers in baseball history and is a member of the Baseball Hall of Fame. Inducted 1947. Ernest Henry Andres, nicknamed "Junie", was an American third baseman in Major League Baseball who played for the Boston Red Sox in the 1946 season. Born in Jeffersonville, Indiana, he batted and threw right-handed. Andres' professional career lasted from 1939 to 1941 and 1946 to 1947. He missed four seasons (1942–1945) while serving in the United States Navy in the Pacific Theater of Operations during World War II.
